Some members of the
Chippewa Cree Tribe of Montana are upset with the way their leaders are running things.
Some say the tribal council salaries should be put to a reservation vote. Theron Oats says the $125,000 salary is too high.
"We're the ones that voted our councilmen in here," Oats said at a meeting, KRTV reported. "Why can't we vote for their salaries?"
Other tribal members say more money should be put into crime prevention and education.
